Seamless Direct Tax Payments Now Available via TIN 2.0 Portal

DBS Bank India has officially rolled out its direct tax payment facility, following authorization from the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). This new service allows individual and business customers to conveniently make various direct tax payments directly from their bank accounts through the TIN 2.0 portal.

The bank's integration with the TIN 2.0 platform expands its existing capabilities, which already include collecting Goods and Services Tax (GST) payments. This initiative enhances the ease of tax compliance by leveraging digital infrastructure, aiming to streamline the payment process and reduce operational errors for taxpayers.

Types of Taxes Payable:

  • Income Tax
  • Advance Tax
  • Self-Assessment Tax
  • Capital Gains Tax
  • Tax Deducted at Source (TDS)

The wider adoption of digital payment channels like the TIN 2.0 portal signifies a progressive shift towards a more enabling environment for tax compliance in India, benefiting a broad spectrum of taxpayers from individuals to large businesses.
